As I’m sure you’ve noticed, your child has homework that requires use of the Internet.  Brianpop and Envision Math are used for Lang Art, Social Studies, Science and Math.  Please let me know if you have any computer problems and need me to assign something different for homework!

In addition, all parents are encouraged to login to ENGRADE (www.engrade.com), using the username/password your child registered at school.  This FREE website will give you access your child’s assessment grades and keep up to date with their homework completion.

Homework Scores:  3= Homework turned in on time and complete

2=Homework turned in on time, but incomplete

1 = Homework was late

Blank space = Homework never turned in

ab = absent (please make up this homework)

aby = absent yesterday (please make up this homework)

Assessment Scores:

4 = Above and Beyond Grade Level Standards

3 = Meets Grade Level Standards

2 = Approaching Grade Level Standards

1=Well Below Grade Level Standards

We had such a successful first day!  Thank you so much for sending your child to school with pencil boxes – that really helped.  I’m so excited for this year because these students are AMAZING already!  Please make sure to check the blog frequently for important information.

By Friday, all 507 students will be given an access code to register for our free, online grading system at www.engrade.com

• use the engrade link under “student links” on this page
• enter the access code
• choose a unique username and password
• check for missing homework assignments starting 8/20
•   —3 for homework = turned in on time and complete
•  —2 for homework = turned in incomplete – had to fix
•  —1 for homework =turned in LATE
•  —0 = NEVER TURNED IN
• check for assessments scores in all academic areas
